Hillsborough and Jefferson, which each had a player test positive for coronavirus in the past week, are both canceling their season openers, county athletic director Lanness Robinson said.

The Terriers were supposed to play Gaither. The Dragons were set to go against Chamberlain.

Instead, Gaither and Chamberlain will square off in their opener on Sept. 11.

Hillsborough and Jefferson will now play against each other on Nov. 6.
