Outlook

The Falcons went through some growing pains last season. They started 0-4 and were 5-12 going into the stretch run. After taking its lumps, Fivay rebounded, winning seven straight matches before falling to Ocala Vanguard in the region final. There is plenty of optimism with a team that can make deep playoff runs for the next two years due in large part to three juniors — Faith Jetter (583 assists last season), Chayla Wade (245 kills, 284 digs, 62 blocks) and Makayla Way (407 kills, 276 digs and 50 blocks), the reigning player of the year in the Sunshine Athletic Conference’s West Division. With so much talent returning, the Falcons beefed their schedule, playing the bulk of their matches in three tournaments.
