Fan vote: Pinellas County volleyball player of the year

OH Sydney Jackwin, Sr., Keswick Christian

Throughout her high school career, Sydney Jackwin has accomplished so much you need a list to fit in all the accolades. 

  • Jackwin finished her Senior Season with a team-leading 349 Kills, 252 Digs and 76 service aces, as well as 19 blocks and 16 assists.
  • She has already signed with Louisiana Tech as an outside hitter
  • She is part of the 1,000/1,000 club with more than 1,000 career kills (1,477) and 1,000 career digs (1,096). 
  • She currently holds eight school records – single season kills (449), digs (310), aces (95), single match kills (34) and digs (30) and career kills (1,477), digs (1,096) and aces (310).
  • Received the 2021 Career MVP Award at Keswick Christian. 
  • Received the Varsity Volleyball MVP Award for five straight  years.
  • Named a 2021 AVCA high school second team All American.
  • Received the 2021 AVCA Best and Brightest first team Award.
  • Named a 2021 Prep Volleyball high school second team All-American.
  • Named to FACA All State and FACA All-Academic Teams each of the past three years. 
  • Named – FACA 2A District 14 – Player of the Year – 2021 and 2020
  • Led her team to a 26-4 season record with only three regular season losses to Osceola (5A region finalist), Academy Holy Names,(4A state semifinalist) and Plant 7A state champion). 

Fans were impressed. Jackwin had 32 percent of the votes (4,938) in the Pinellas County volleyball player of the year poll to beat out Osceola’s Lauren Lewis, who had 27 percent (4,162).
