Lennard’s Tarence Guinyard, an electrifying guard, said he is transferring to Bayshore Christian.
As a junior this past season, Guinyard averaged 13.7 points, 6.2 assists and 4 rebounds per game. Those numbers helped him become the player of the year in the Western Conference’s Federal Division. He also was selected as a Tampa Bay Basketball Coaches Association all-star.
Guinyard’s arrival gives the defending 2A state semifinalist Faith Warriors a dynamic backcourt that also includes sharpshooter CJ Crews, who averaged 22.2 points per game this past season.
“CJ and I have a great bond already,” Guinyard said. “If we get AAU back we’ll have time to build chemistry, and I think we’ll have a good run to states.”
