Bloomingdale’s Philip Riley commits to Notre Dame

Bloomingdale defensive back Philip Riley, who rocketed up the rankings this spring, has committed to Notre Dame. 

The rising senior announced his decision on his Twitter account Tuesday afternoon.

Riley, a four-star recruit, was listed as the 45th best player in the state and the 20th best cornerback in the nation according to 247 Sports composite rankings. 

He moved from Washington to the bay area last season and made an immediate impact in the Bulls’ secondary, finishing with 28 tackles and an interception. 

This spring, Riley had a meteoric rise and ended up with 40 offers from Division I-A programs, including Clemson, FSU, Miami, Texas and Virginia Tech.
