St. Petersburg has record six girls soccer signees

St. Petersburg had six players from the girls soccer program sign with colleges. That is the most signees the girls team has ever had in one season. Even more impressive, the six college-bound seniors were part of the rigorous International Baccalaureate program. During their soccer careers, they helped the Green Devils win three district championships, two regional championships and a Pinellas County Athletic Conference title.

“This special group of girls will always be remembered at St. Pete High,” said Rui Farias, the team’s coach. “Their success on and off the field is a tribute to their hard work, professionalism and huge hearts. They were all leaders on the field, always pushing each other and their teammates to be better. And they did it with amazing humility.”
