Armwood’s Charles Montgomery commits to Florida

Charles Montgomery, a four-star athlete, ended his recruitment by committing to Florida. The Armwood senior made his announcement at Victory Temple Outreach during a live broadcast on his Instagram page.

More than three weeks ago, Montgomery whittled down his list of 25 offers to Florida and Maryland. Montgomery wanted to make his announcement on Sunday because it was the birthday of his cousin Eddy Taylor, who died in 2019.

By choosing the Gators, Montgomery joins Jefferson tight end Gage Wilcox as the two locals in the Class of 2021 who have joined the program. It also marks the fifth straight recruiting class Florida has landed at least one area player.
