Dandy dozen: Tampa Bay first-round MLB selections the past decade

MaxPreps compiled a list of first-round draft picks by state for the past decade. California was tops with 79 players selected, followed by Florida with 67 during that span. Florida’s total included 12 players from the Tampa Bay who were first-round picks in the past 10 years. Plant had the most among area teams with three, followed by Alonso and Jesui with two each.
