The Tampa Bay area has exceptional boys basketball programs that are always in contention for state titles.

Tampa Catholic made it to the state semifinals for the fifth straight season. Hillsborough reached the region finals for the fifth straight time.

There were also teams that had considerable breakthroughs. East Lake advanced to the state semifinals for the first time in school history. Bayshore Christian made it to the state semifinals for the first time since 2001.

Others had great seasons, too. Clearwater and Seffner Christian got to the region finals. Wharton lost a heartbreaker to Windermere in the region semifinals. And who can forget St. Petersburg’s epic five-overtime loss to Fort Myers in a region semifinal.

Now it is time to vote. Pick which team had the best playoff run from this past season.
