This year’s group of area pass-catchers is among the best the state has to offer. That was evident in MaxPreps’ preseason all-state football team for Florida.
Three locals — Bloomingdale receiver Agiye Hall, Carrollwood Day tight end Michael Trigg and Plant City receiver Mario Williams — were all first team selections.
Armwood’s Charles Montgomery, a second-team selection as an athlete, was the only other area player to make the list. He is primarily a receiver, too.
The quartet are all ranked among the nation’s best at their positions and three have already committed to major colleges.
