State series

There are no district champions this year. Every team that opts in to the state series makes the playoffs. There will be play-in games on Nov. 6 if there are more than eight teams in a region in Classes 1A-4 and another set of play-in games on Nov. 13 if there are more than 16 teams in a region in Classes 5A-8A. Playoff seedings will be done by a blind draw on Oct. 26 instead of by rankings.
