Prime time teams

Boca Ciega: The Pirates have won three straight, outscoring their foes by a combined 176-15. On Thursday, the scoring came on the ground, through the air, even on special teams. By the end of the first quarter, Boca Ciega was ahead 28-0 and went into halftime with a 54-0 lead.

Osceola: Under first-year coach Cody Montgomery, the Warriors are starting to turn things around. The win against Palm Harbor University was their second straight. And the two wins so far this season equals the total in each of the last four seasons.

Seminole: With three wins, the Warhawks have already surpassed their win total from the two seasons combined. Better still, they are above .500 this late in the season for the first time in 15 years. The success is due in large part to a defense that has allowed just 28 points in four of the first five games and has not given up a touchdown in the last two.
