Thursday night football forecast

Boca Ciega (4-1) at Northeast (3-1), 7

Outlook: The Pirates have won three straight, outscoring their opponents 176-15 in that span. They could keep piling on the points considering they have averaged 46 points per game in their last two meetings with the Vikings, both wins. Northeast does come in with some momentum after winning three straight, all by 18 or more points.

Pinkos’ pick: Boca Ciega by 38

Putnam’s prediction: Boca Ciega 35-14

Largo (1-3) at Seminole (3-2), 7

Outlook: The Warhawks, led by their defense, have already surpassed their win total from the previous two seasons combined. To keep that streak going, they will have to stop Largo’s TJ Holmes, who ranks second in the area in rushing yards with 547 through four games.

Pinkos’ pick: Largo by 14

Putnam’s prediction: Largo 21-7

Osceola (2-3) at Lakewood (3-0), 7

Outlook: The Spartans, who have won 14 straight regular season games dating back to 2018, return from a 21-day layoff. Even if there is some rust from being idle that long, Lakewood should have no trouble keeping its win streak intact. After all, the Spartans won last year’s meeting 49-0.

Pinkos’ pick:  Lakewood by 54

Putnam’s prediction: Lakewood 42-7

St. Petersburg (1-3) at Hollins (0-5), 7

Outlook: Last week, the Green Devils snapped a three-game losing streak by shutting out Tarpon Springs. The Royals, meanwhile, are trying to rebound after an 0-5 start. This one might be Hollins’ best shot at a win in the regular season considering the next two games are against teams that are a combined 7-2.

Pinkos’ pick: Hollins by 7

Putnam’s prediction: Hollins 14-13
