The matchups

Region 2 

Pasco (8-15) at Fivay (11-12)

The Falcons won both regular season meetings between the teams (2-0 and 3-1). Fivay, which made the region quarterfinals last season, are back in the playoffs after winning the District 7 title. Makayla Way has a team-leading 364 kills for the Falcons. For the first time in more than a decade, the Pirates are in the playoffs. Pasco got hot at the right time, beating Auburndale and Lake Region to secure a postseason berth. Alexis Musser, a junior, leads the Pirates in assists (162) and aces (22). 

Region 3 

Hardee (7-6) at Robinson (12-5)

The Wildcats are in the playoffs for the first time in more than a decade. They are led by junior Adrianna Mier, who has a team-high 90 blocks. The Knights, who are consistent playoff participants, have swept their last four matches, including the District final. Mila Yarich, a senior, has a team-leading 50 kills and 20 aces for Robinson. 

Land O’ Lakes (13-8) at Boca Ciega (5-7)

The Gators, who made it to the region quarterfinals last season, are back in the playoffs. Gracie Stanley, a senior, leads the team in kills with 138. The Pirates benefitted from not having to play defending region finalist Osceola in the District 10 final. With the Warriors forfeiting because of coronavirus issues, Boca Ciega was able to cruise to the district title. The Pirates are led by junior Naveah Wright, who has a team-high 57 kills and eight blocks this season.
