Clearwater has promoted assistant Thor Jozwiak to be the football coach, assistant principal for athletics RJ Denton said. 

Jozwiak, who spent the past two seasons coaching the offensive line with Tornadoes, replaces Don Mesick, who stepped down after six seasons. 

A former standout at Lake Region, Jozwiak spent five years (2011-15) as an offensive lineman at USF, earning second all-conference honors as a senior. His father, Brian, was an All-American at West Virginia and a first round pick of the Kansas City Chiefs in 1986.
