Here are the nominees for the boys basketball player of the week. Voting lasts through Thursday.

G Jalen Brown, Sr., Academy at the Lakes: Averaged 24 points and five assists per game in wins over Patel, Classical Prep and IMG Academy Gray. 

G Dean Gabrelcik, Sr., East Lake: Hit all 11 of his 3-point attempts in the first half and finished with a school record 42 points in just 17 minutes on the court in a win over Palm Harbor University. 

G/F Dillon Mitchell, Jr., Bishop McLaughlin: Averaged 25 points, eight rebounds and five assists in wins over Tampa Catholic, Land O’ Lakes and King.

G Robert Sanders, Sr., Durant: Averaged nearly 20 points per game in wins over Newsome, Alonso and Freedom. 

G Mari Sherrod, Sr., St. Petersburg: Finished with 11 points, including a key-3-pointer, and played air-tight defense down the stretch to help the Green Devils beat rival Lakewood.  

G Ryan Weir, Sr., Jesuit: Averaged 21 points and five rebounds in wins over Robinson, Blake and Spoto.
