Bishop McLaughlin (22-6) vs. Fort Lauderdale Calvary Christian (16-7), 4:30
The Hurricanes have made history by becoming the first Pasco County school since Zephyrhills (1960, ‘62) to play for a state title in boys basketball. Bishop McLaughlin accomplished that in its playoff debut with a revamped roster fortified by transfers. To win it all, the Hurricanes will have to get past Fort Lauderdale Calvary Christian, which is ranked No. 1 in 3A and seventh overall in the state by MaxPreps.
Softball
The Lady Canes Spring Classic, hosted by Palm Harbor University, starts today and ends Saturday. The two-day tournament, held at Clearwater’s Eddie C. Moore Complex, is one of the two in the area during the season. Fans will not be permitted to attend this year. See below for the schedule.
