Time to vote: Girls flag football player of the week

Here are the nominees for the girls flag football player of the week. Voting lasts through Tuesday.

WR/S Jaela Davis, Jr., Brooks DeBartolo: In two games, Davis compiled more than 150 yards receiving and three touchdowns on offense. She also recorded a combined three interceptions, including one that was returned for a score.  

QB/LB/S Abby Elwell, Fr., Lennard: In five games, the versatile playmaker totaled 18 touchdowns (17 passing, one rushing) on offense and recorded a combined four interceptions on defense. 

WR/QB/CB Kayla Ludwig, So., Newsome: In four games, Ludwig had a combined 315 yards of offense (208 receiving, 107 passing) and six touchdowns. She also picked off a pass on defense. 

WR/S Maggie Montiegel, Sr., Alonso: Came back from a preseason and had a combined 15 receptions for 142 yards and five touchdowns in three games. 

Robinson’s defense: The unit recorded three shutouts last week and has blanked opponents in nine of the 10 games so far this season. Seven different players recorded an interception and four recorded at least one sack this past week.
