2021 FHSAA Boys Lacrosse State Championship Tournament 2A Bracket

The Matchups

Steinbrenner (13-3) at Plant (19-1), 7

This is a rematch from a game the Panthers won 29-2 in February. Plant is ranked sixth in 2A, eighth overall in the state and 18th nationally by MaxPreps. The Warriors have won four straight and nine of their last 10 games.

Newsome (15-2) at Sarasota Riverview (14-3), 7

The Wolves, ranked ninth in 2A by MaxPreps, are among the top teams in the area. Their only two losses came against Plant by a combined six points. The Rams, the No. 10 team in 2A, have won seven of their past eight games.

The Tigers, ranked seventh in 1A by MaxPreps, bounced back from a two-game losing streak in late March to win four straight. They are stingy on defense, allowing just 50 goals all season. The Falcons are on a seven-game win streak.
