Hernando (26-4) vs. Eustis (26-1), 4:30

How they got here: Hernando d. Tarpon Springs 17-1, d. Wesley Chapel 14-2, d. Lake Region 4-3, d. Plantation American Heritage 9-8. Eustis d. Merritt Island 11-0, d. Rockledge 15-2, d. Belleview 5-0, d. Ridgeview 2-0.

Outlook: This is a rematch from a regular game the Panthers won 7-2. In that game, Eustis overcame a 2-0 deficit, scoring all seven runs in the final four innings. The Leopards rebounded from that loss, winning 11 of their last 13, including eight straight. Most of the wins were lopsided in that stretch, but Hernando also is finding ways to win the close ones. Each of the Leopards last two victories were decided by a run, including a 9-8 thriller over Plantation American Heritage in Thursday’s semifinal round. The Panthers, ranked No. 1 in 4A, have won 18 straight. Three of their last four victories came via shutouts.
