Outlook

The Packers went through some growing pains last season. After starting 0-3, Largo rebounded to go 5-2 the rest of the way to make the playoffs for the fourth straight season. The freshmen and sophomores who made up the bulk of the roster are now a year older. On offense, the Packers had to find a replacement for running back TJ Holmes, who rushed for more than 600 yards and had seven touchdowns on the ground as a senior. Burhaan Hamm should get plenty of work in the backfield. Deondre Randle and Zayvion McCluster could get some carries, too. Largo will strive for balance, relying on the height of receivers Tre’son Everett (6-foot-4), Andre Hansen (6-2) and Marcus McCluster (5-11) to make big plays down the field. Defensively, the Packers once will be strong with Adarius Hayes leading the linebackers and Zayvion McCluster patrolling the secondary.
