Outlook

The Wolves have been a model of consistency. Last season, Newsome made the playoffs for the fourth time in the past five seasons under coach Mike Shaffer and reached the region semifinals for just the second time in school history. The five captains from last season were all seniors. Despite those losses, the Wolves still have a lot of pieces in place. Five key contributors return, including Natania Fletcher (129 kills and 17 blocks last season) and Olivia Neu (105 kills and 13 blocks), who were both first team Western Conference Federal Division selections a year ago.
