Outlook

This is one of the most talented teams the Bulls have ever had, especially on offense. Rocco Becht, a four-star recruit who committed to Iowa State in the spring, returns at quarterback. He will have plenty of protection thanks to a veteran offensive line that includes Christian Loaiza, Logan Ridolph and Tucker Schwab. There are playmakers at the skill positions, too. Bryson Rodgers, the team’s top receiver, is a four-star prospect in the 2023 class who already has offers from 22 schools, including Alabama, Florida, FSU and Georgia. Kenneth Walker and Corneil McCrary, who combined for nearly 1,000 rushing and nine touchdowns last season, are both back in what should be a deep backfield. The ability to produce plenty of points will be needed in a district (Class 7A-10) that includes Armwood, Tampa Bay Tech and Wharton. In the spring, Wiregrass Ranch showed it can stay with the top teams in the area. The Bulls led defending 3A state semifinalist Berkeley Prep 28-16 at the half before falling 36-28.
