Outlook
Playing a tough schedule last season paid off for the Jaguars, who won six straight matches (all via sweeps) to reach the state semifinals. The postseason run helped a young team gain experience — and confidence. Academy of the Holy Names stayed in 4A and will be among the favorites to reach the state semifinals again. The biggest losses were Camryn McClendon (138 kills, 49 blocks last season) and Janessa Bailey (288 assists), both of whom graduated. Just about everyone returns, including Kinsley Warbritton (221 kills, 213 digs), Camille McClendon (188 kills, 42 blocks) and Morgan Garlick (413 assists, 112 digs). The schedule is just as challenging as it was last season with three tournaments, as well as matches against Bishop McLaughlin, Calvary Christian, Clearwater Central Catholic, Tampa Prep and Osceola.
