Here are the nominations for the football player of the week. Voting lasts until midnight on Wednesday. 

OLB Troy Bowles, Jr., Jesuit: Returned an interception for a touchdown and was in on several hard-hitting tackles in a win over Largo. 

RB Nathan Carter, So., Osceola: Ran for 233 yards and scored three touchdowns on 10 carries in a win over Leto.

WR David James, Sr., Clearwater: One of the Tornadoes’ top playmakers, James scored on a 50-yard run in which he broke several tackles in a loss to Hillsborough.  

FS Dijohn Johnson, Jr., Wharton: Returned two interceptions for touchdowns in a win over King.

WR Ha’Keem Monroe, Sr.; Lennard: Had seven receptions for 94 yards and a touchdown, as well as a 20-yard punt return, in a win over Braden River.  

ATH Jershaun Newton, Fr., Clearwater Central Catholic: Recorded two sacks, forced two fumbles and scored a touchdown in his first high school game to lead the Marauders to a win over Wiregrass Ranch. 

SB/CB Joshua Robinson, Fr., Calvary Christian: Picked off a pass, had several pass breakups and returned a kickoff 45 yards in a loss to Northeast.
