Volleyball
Plant at Berkeley Prep, 6
The season opener for two of the best programs in the area. The defending state semifinalist Panthers have a lot of key pieces returning for new coach Sarah Kirkwood Reiss, who returned to her alma mater to take over Plant this offseason. Second-year Buccaneers coach Jolene Patton Coulson, another former area standout, has a loaded lineup full of college prospects.
Calvary Christian at Osceola, 7
Calvary Christian has a veteran team that can contend for a state title. The opener against Osceola will be a test. The host Warriors are motivated after missing out on the playoffs last season due to COVID protocols.
