Alexandra Raquet, So., Sickles

As a freshman last season, Alexandra Raquet had quite the sporting life at Sickles. She finished third on the girls soccer in goals scored with seven and showed off her versatility in track by running in mid-distance races, taking part in relays and enduring distance events. 

As a sophomore, Raquet is excelling in another sport — cross country. 

Two weeks ago, she took home the title at the Pasco Invitational with a time of 18 minutes, 56.50 seconds. 

Fans took notice. Raquet received 80 percent of the votes (168) in the girls runner of the week poll to beat out Wharton’s Brooke Reif, who had 15 percent (31 votes).
