Here are the nominees for the volleyball player of the week. Voting lasts until 9 a.m. Tuesday. 

MB/OH Bella Bonatakis, Sr., Wharton: Led the Wildcats with a combined 67 kills, 30 digs and 16 blocks in wins over Plant City, Middleton and Sickles. 

MH Reese Friar, Jr., Plant: Named the MVP of the Academy of the Holy Names Invitational after leading the Panthers to the team title. 

RS/S Maria Happ, So., Shorecrest: Had a combined 44 kills, 23 blocks and 21 digs in wins over St. Petersburg Catholic, Northside Christian and Seminole this past week. 

DS Avery Lewis, Sr., Mitchell: Ended up with a combined 95 digs in seven matches this past week, all wins, to help the Mustangs win the team title at the Fivay Invitational. 

MB/OH Erika Spankus, Jr., Tarpon Springs: Recorded 10 kills and seven digs to beat Northeast and extend the Spongers’ win streak to 15.

OH Leah Vrabec, Sr., Cypress Creek: Finished with a combined 24 digs, 18 kills and seven service aces to lead the Coyotes to wins over Nature Coast, Hernando and River Ridge this past week.
