Here are the nominees for the Hernando County football player of the week. Voting lasts until 9 a.m. Friday. 

RB/PK Owen Andress, Sr., Springstead: Scored two rushing touchdowns and was 7-of-8 on extra points in a win over Central. 

RB Christian Cromer, So., Nature Coast: Rushed for 379 yards and four touchdowns on 24 carries in a win over Hudson. 

QB Ethan Fahey, Sr., Nature Coast: Ran for 200 yards and three touchdowns on 20 carries and threw for 100 more and another score in a win over Hudson. 

LB/RB Sam Sternberger, Sr., Hernando: Finished with 12 tackles on defense and had two receptions for 35 yards on offense in a loss to Lakeland Kathleen.
