Here are the selections for the Florida Athletic Coaches Association’s District 14 team, which is comprised of Pinellas County schools. The team was picked by coaches who are members of the FACA.
Players of the year
Class 7A
MB Olivia Aniol, Sr., East Lake: The Nova Southeastern commit led the Eagles to the Pinellas County Athletic Conference title and had 226 Kills, 61 blocks and 199 digs this season heading into the district tournament.
Class 5A
L Livvi Harting, Sr., St. Petersburg: The Virginia Commonwealth commit recently recorded the 1,000th dig in her high school career. She also has more than 100 career aces and helped the Green Devils reach the Pinellas County Athletic Conference title match for the second straight season.
Class 4A
S Gabrielle Spankus, Sr., Tarpon Springs: Led the Spongers on a 15-match win streak this season. She has 258 assists, 108 kills and 106 digs heading into this week’s district tournament.
Class 3A
S Victoria Hensley, Sr., Clearwater Central Catholic: The Wofford commit had 555 assists, 199 digs and 83 kills heading into this week’s district tournament. She has played in every set all four years with the Marauders and has more than 2,700 career assists; Other accolades include all-tournament teams at Venice’s Battle at the Beach, Berkeley Premier, Tournament of Champions. This is her second year winning the FACA 3A player of the year honors for district 14.
Class 2A
OH Sydney Jackwin, Sr., Keswick Christian: The Louisiana Tech commit had 262 kills, 55 aces and 200 Digs heading into this week’s district tournament. She also has more than 1000 career kills and 1000 career digs.
