The Cougars, who had their five-match win streak snapped with a loss in the district final, are making their second straight playoff appearance and are trying to reach the region semifinals for the first time since 2014. The Terrapins are coming off their biggest win of season, prevailing in four sets over rival and nationally ranked Berkeley Prep in the district final. That helped Tampa Prep rocket up the rankings. The Terrapins are now fourth in 3A, eighth overall in the state and 19th nationally according to MaxPreps.

The Buccaneers, ranked first in the class, second overall in the state and fifth nationally according to MaxPreps, are back in the playoffs after a one-year absence. They are trying to reach the region semifinals for the first time since 2017, the year they won their last state title, and possibly set up a rematch with rival Tampa Prep. The Seahawks, ranked ninth in the class, have won seven of their past eight matches. They are making their seventh straight playoff appearance and are trying to reach the region semifinals for the third straight year.

Calvary Christian is ranked fifth in the class and 10th overall in the state. This matchup also features two of the best setters in the area, the Marauders’ Victoria Hensley and the Warriors’ Taylor Parks.
