The Pinellas County Volleyball Player of the Week

OH Sydney Jackwin, Sr., Keswick Christian

Sydney Jackwin has already established herself as the greatest volleyball player in school history.

The proof is in the record books.

She has more than 1,000 career kills (1,466) and digs (1,091). Those totals are in addition to the nine other school records she holds.

The Louisiana Tech commit also has led the Crusaders to three straight playoff appearances and a berth in the region final in 2019.

Two weeks ago, Jackwin (featured photo above courtesy of Austin Vogl)  helped Keswick Christian win the Class 2A, District 6 title. The Crusaders enter Tuesday’s region semifinal match against Bradenton Christian on an 11-match win streak.

Fans were impressed. Jackwin received 39 percent of the votes (1,719) in the Pinellas County volleyball player of the week poll to beat out St. Petersburg’s Sydney Applefield, who had 27 percent (1,165 votes).
