Here are the nominees for the Hernando County football player of the week. Voting lasts until 9 a.m. Friday. 

RB Brian Lewis, Sr., Hernando: Ran for 131 yards and a touchdown on 10 carries in a win over Sunlake. 

TE/MLB Brady Nowlan, Jr., Nature Coast: Had six catches for 92 yards and a touchdown on offense and five tackles, a sack and a forced fumble on defense in a win over Weeki Wachee.

WR Malachi Russell, Jr., Central: Had seven catches for 116 yards and a touchdown in a loss to Umatilla.
