S Brooke Brown, Sr., Land O’ Lakes

A two-year varsity member, Brooke Brown had the best season of her high school career as a senior. 

She finished with 336 assists, 161 digs and 41 service aces. More importantly, Brown helped the Gators set the school record for wins in a season with 25 and reach the Class 5A region semifinals. 

In the quarterfinals, Brown had 17 assists and 12 digs in a win over Wharton.

Fans were impressed. Brown received 51 percent of the votes (1,246) in the Pasco County volleyball player of the week poll to beat out Wesley Chapel’s Jenna Ly, who had 47 percent (1,162 votes).
