Hillsborough County Offensive Player of the Year (Classes 6A-2A) – Jan. 6

Here are the nominees for the Hillsborough County football offensive player of the year in Classes 6A-2A. Voting ends at 9 a.m. Sunday.

RB Jordaan Bailey, Sr., Hillsborough: Accounted for 1,042 yards of offense (677 rushing, 365 receiving) and 11 touchdowns (seven rushing, four receiving) for the 10-3 Terriers.

RB Travis Bates, Sr., Berkeley Prep: Ran for 1,857 yards and 21 touchdowns for the Class 3A state semifinalist Buccaneers.

RB Anthony Carrie, So., Carrollwood Day: Ran for 1,032 yards and 20 touchdowns for the 7-3 Patriots this season.

QB Luke Knight, So., Jesuit: Threw for 2,511 yards, 30 touchdowns and nine interceptions for the 6A state champion Tigers.

RB Joquez Smith, Jr., Jesuit: Ran for 1,976 yards and 29 touchdowns for the 6A state champion Tigers.

RB Xavier Townsend, Sr., Berkeley Prep: Accounted for 1,643 yards of offense (1,209 rushing, 434 receiving) and 27 touchdowns (20 rushing, seven receiving) for the 3A state semifinalist Buccaneers.

ATH Junior Vandeross, Sr., Jesuit: Finished with 1,976 all-purpose yards and scored 15 touchdowns for the 6A state champion Tigers.
