What to watch

Boys basketball

Calvary Christian (15-3) at Berkeley Prep (11-4), 7

Both teams are ranked among the top 11 in Class 3A by MaxPreps (the Warriors are No. 5 and the Buccaneers are No. 11).

Gibbs (12-4) at Largo (10-6), 7:45

This is a rematch from a game the Gladiators won 50-46. Gibbs is looking to get back on track after losing two of their last three. The Warhawks are coming on with wins in four of their last five games.

Wharton (16-1) at King (13-8), 8

The Wildcats have won 15 straight, currently the longest streak in the area. After starting 8-7, the Lions have won five of their last six to gain some momentum late in the regular season.

Sickles (14-5) at Plant (14-4), 8

A rematch from a game the Gryphons won last month 65-60. If Sickles can sweep the regular season series – and extend its win streak to 11 – it can all but wrap up the top seed in the Class 7A, District 6 tournament.

Boys soccer

St. Petersburg (12-4-1) at Osceola (12-0-6), 6:30

Last week, the Green Devils beat Bradenton Bayshore to snap a two-match losing streak. To start a new winning streak, St. Petersburg will have to get past unbeaten Osceola, which is ranked No. 7 in Class 5A by MaxPreps.

Western Conference semifinals

Hillsborough County has put together a final four tournament to decide its Western Conference champion in boys soccer. The semifinal matches are tonight. Here is the schedule.

Plant (14-3-1) at Steinbrenner (10-1-2), 7

King (8-5-2) at Newsome (10-5-1), 8

Girls basketball

Zephyrhills (14-4) at Calvary Christian (15-4), 6

The Bulldogs beat Lecanto last week to snap a two-game losing streak. The Warriors, meanwhile, have won three straight, including victories over Largo and Academy of the Holy Names.

Keswick Christian (11-8) at Academy of the Holy Names (13-8), 6:30

This matchup concludes the Crusaders stretch of tough games against teams in higher classifications. The host Jaguars are trying to find some consistency after going 1-3 in their last four games.

River Ridge (12-8) at East Lake (12-5), 7:30

Both teams are on four-game win streaks. Five of the Royal Knights’ eight losses this season have been by five points or less. The Eagles have not been in many close games lately. Their last three wins were all decided by 18 or more points.

Newsome (14-6) at Sarasota Riverview (14-0), 7:30

Both teams could potentially be in the same region in the postseason. The Wolves, who have won three of their last four, face a formidable opponent in the undefeated Rams, ranked No. 3 in Class 7A by MaxPreps.

Durant (15-3) at Riverview (13-3), 8

The Cougars have won six straight, including impressive victories over Lennard and Newsome. The host Sharks are on a nice run, too, winning eight of their past nine games.

Girls soccer

Palm Harbor University (13-1) at East Lake (9-1-3), 6

The Hurricanes, ranked No. 6A in 7A, have allowed a combined two goals during their current 11-match win streak. The rival Eagles have not lost since the season opener in November.

River Ridge (13-2-1) at Academy of the Holy Names (9-3-1), 7:30

The Royal Knights are trying to bounce back from a loss that snapped a six-match win streak. The Jaguars have won six straight.
