The newcomer is adept at setting up her teammates for scores. After all, Karlie Collins has a team-leading 11 assists this season, two more than anyone else for Durant. 

Two weeks ago, Collins had nearly half of her season assist total, registering five in a win over Lennard. 

Fans took notice. Collins had more than 1,800 votes to finish in a tie at the top of the Hillsborough County girls soccer player of the week poll.

The versatile playmaker ranks second in goals for Academy of the Holy Names with nine and first in assists with eight. 

Two weeks ago, Mia Fairchild’s lone goal was the only one of the match in a win over rival Berkeley Prep. 

Fans took notice. Fairchild had more than 1,800 votes to finish in a tie at the top of the Hillsborough County girls soccer player of the week poll.
