Here are the nominees for the Hernando County preseason pitcher of the year. Voting lasts until 9 a.m. Monday. 

P/1B Ava Braswell, So., Hernando: Finished last season 14-3 with a 2.14 ERA and had 73 strikeouts in 100 ⅔ innings. 

P/3B/1B McKenna Carr, Sr., Nature Coast: Ended 10-5 last season with a 3.77 ERA and had 50 strikeouts in 87 ⅓ innings.  

P/OF Sarah Tipton, So., Springstead:  Went 4-1 last season with a 5.76 ERA while striking out eight in 34 innings.
