Hillsborough County boys basketball players of the week – Feb. 7-11

Here are the nominees for the Hillsborough County boys basketball player of the week. Voting lasts until 9 a.m. Friday. 

F/C Domanic Betancourt, Jr., King: Averaged seven points and 15 rebounds in wins over Robinson, Jesuit and Blake to help the Lions bring home their district (5A-8) title in 12 years. 

G Chandler Davis, Sr., Wharton: Averaged 30 points per game to beat Strawberry Crest and Hillsborough and win the 6A-10 district title. 

G Alex Gamba, Sr., Gaither: Averaged 16 points per game in wins over Leto and Largo to help the Cowboys win their first district (6A-9) title in 18 years. 

G Rudolph Hayes, Sr., Bloomingdale: Scored a team-high 23 points to lead the Bulls to a win over Bradenton Manatee in the 6A-11 district title game. 

G Karter Knox, So., Tampa Catholic: Averaged 25 points and nine rebounds per game in wins over Carrollwood Day and Brooks DeBartolo to take the 3A-5 district title. 

G Trent Scott, Averaged 17 points per game in wins over Palm Harbor University, Sickles and East Lake to not only reach the 1,000 point career plateau but also lead the Ravens to the 7A-6 district title.
