The Ravens, who played well in last week’s preseason tournament, continued their impressive start by cruising to a 40-0 win over Tampa Catholic in the season opener. Mieke Rowe threw a pair of touchdown passes in the first quarter to help Alonso jump out to a 14-0 lead.

The playmaker shined on both sides of the ball, finishing with six catches for 60 yards and three touchdowns on offense and recording two interceptions on defense to lead the Gladiators to a season-opening 18-12 victory over Boca Ciega.
