Though the Indians went 6-10 last season, they showed of improvement by winning two of their last three games. The momentum carried over to Tuesday’s season opener with East Bay jumping out to a lead in the first quarter then holding on for a 7-6 victory over Sumner.

Madison Ludwig, Sr., Newsome

The two-sport star was everywhere in the Wolves’ 41-0 win over Wharton in the season opener. Ludwig totaled a team-high nine tackles on defense and had two touchdown receptions, ran for a score and threw for another on offense.
