Here are the nominees for the Hernando County baseball player of the week. Voting lasts until 9 a.m. Saturday. 

P/1B Jackson Cooper, So., Springstead: Threw four innings, allowing one unearned run while striking out eight in a win over Nature Coast. 

P/3B Tristan Legg, Sr., Hernando: Threw five scoreless innings against Citrus with eight strikeouts and was a combined 5-for-12 with five RBIs in three games at the plate. 

P/SS Johnny Giannie, Sr., Hernando Christian: Threw a combined nine innings, allowing two unearned runs while striking out 17 in wins over Bayshore Christian and Cambridge Christian. 

3B/OF Christopher Moss, Sr., Nature Coast: Went 2-for-3 with a homer, three RBIs and two runs scored in a win over Springstead.
