Pinellas County baseball player of the week poll – March 7-12

Here are the nominees for the Pinellas County baseball player of the week. Voting lasts until 9 a.m. Saturday. 

P Trey Beard, Jr., Dunedin: Finished with a two-hit shutout and eight strikeouts in a win over previously undefeated East Lake. 

P/C/1B Ryland Bozenhard, Jr., Hollins: Threw six scoreless innings, allowing three hits and striking out 10 to beat Pinellas Park and went 3-for-3 with two RBIs in a win over Sarasota Out-of-Door. 

UTIL Joseph Geiger, Jr., Boca Ciega: Went a combined 5-for-7 with a double and three RBIs in wins over Canterbury and Clearwater. 

P Patrick Hopkins, Sr., Lakeside Christian: Threw a two-hit shutout with 13 strikeouts in a five-inning win over Gibbs. 

P/1B Bryce Roth, Sr., Osceola: Tossed four scoreless innings, allowing one hit and striking out eight in a win over Lakewood. 

P Alex Tchountchev, Sr., Northeast: Threw a no-hitter and was one hit batter away from a perfect game in a win over Tarpon Springs. 

SS/2B/3B Tyler Wabnitz, Jr., Keswick Christian: Had a combined three doubles, two homers and seven RBIs in wins over Tarpon Springs, Cambridge Christian and Inspiration Academy. 

OF Andrew Williamson, Jr., Northside Christian: Went 2-for-2 and scored the Mustangs lone run in a win over Tampa Prep.
