Season stats: .375 average, six runs, four RBIs.

The lowdown: Three weeks ago, Barber went a combined 4-for-7 with a double, two RBIs and two runs scored in wins over Land O’ Lakes and Wiregrass Ranch. Fans were impressed. Barber had 36 percent of the votes (754) in the Pasco County softball player of the week poll to beat out Land O’ Lakes’ Ayla Horne, who had 31 percent (654 votes).

Nicol Werking, Jr., Land O’ Lakes: Ended up going 2-for-3 with a double and scored both of the Gators’ runs in a loss to Plant at the Bay Made Fastpitch Invitational.
