Hillsborough County softball player of the week poll – March 14-19

Here are the nominees for the Hillsborough County softball player of the week. Voting lasts until 9 a.m. Friday. 

P Amy Bak, Jr., Durant: Threw a five-hit shutout with five strikeouts in a win over Land O’ Lakes at the Bay Made Fastpitch Invitational. 

P Jalynn Fredman, So., Seffner Christian: On the mound, Fredman allowed two earned runs and had five strikeouts. She also delivered on offense, going 3-for-5 with three runs scored and an RBI in a win over Hernando Christian.

P Robyn Herron, Sr., Sickles: The Arkansas signee threw all 10 innings, allowing two earned runs on seven hits and finishing with 17 strikeouts. On offense, she went 2-for-3 with a double and two RBIs to lead the Gryphons to win over Robinson in the final of the Bay Made Fastpitch Invitational.

UTIL Abby Lucas, Jr., Plant: Went a combined 5-for-7 with two doubles, five RBIs and two runs scored in two games at the Bay Made Fastpitch Invitational. 

OF Ashley Mantei, Sr., Steinbrenner: Finished a combined 3-for-5 with a double, an RBI and two runs scored in two games at the Bay Made Fastpitch Invitational.  

C/1B Riley Onisawa, Jr., Robinson: Powered the Knights offense by going 3-for-4 with two homers, three RBIs and two runs scored in a win over Lakewood McKeel Academy to reach the final of the Bay Made Fastpitch Invitational.
