Hillsborough County baseball player of the week poll – March 14-19

Here are the nominees for the Hillsborough County baseball player of the week. Voting lasts until 9 a.m. Saturday. 

Caden McDonald, Jr., Sickles: Ended up going a combined 6-for-9 with three homers and seven RBIs in three games at the plate and threw 6 ⅓ scoreless innings with eight strikeouts in a win over Jesuit to lead the Gryphons to the title game of the Saladino Tournament. 

Grant Jordan, Jr., Jesuit: Had a combined four hits, including two doubles and a triple, in three games at the Saladino Tournament. 

Cade Kurland, Jr., Berkeley Prep: Went a combined 6-for-10 with two homers in three games and ended up recorded the 100th hit of his career 

John Smith, Sr., Lennard: Threw two scoreless, no-hit innings and went a combined 5-for-10 with four runs scored in three games to help the Longhorns remain undefeated this season. 

Conley Strayer, Sr., Plant: Went 4-for-5 with three RBIs in a win over Wharton and had a double that ignited the rally to help the Panthers beat Sickles in the final of the Saladino Tournament.
