Pinellas County baseball player of the week poll – March 28-April 2

Here are the nominees for the Pinellas County baseball player of the week. Voting lasts until 9 a.m. Saturday. 

P/OF Aidan Alvarez, Jr., Osceola: Threw a three-hitter, allowing one earned run while striking out 10, in a win over rival Seminole. 

CF/P Jake Bechtel, Sr., East Lake: Went a combined 5-for-8 with three doubles, a homer, six RBIs and four runs scored in wins over Alonso and Bishop McLaughlin. 

3B/P Nathan Evans, Sr., Countryside: Ended up going a combined 7-for-12 with a double, a triple and six RBIs in three games. 

INF/P/OF Tristan Fondren, Jr., Dunedin: Threw a seven-hitter, allowing one earned run while striking out five in a win over Osceola. 

SS/P/OF Jacob Leap, Sr., Largo: Was perfect at the plate, going 4-for-4 with a triple, three runs scored and two RBIs in a win over Boca Ciega. 

OF/3B Donovan Podolske, So., St. Petersburg Catholic: Went a combined 5-for-7 with two doubles, two triples, six RBIs and a run scored in wins over Canterbury and Indian Rocks Christian.  

UTIL Gabriel Wheeler, Jr., Clearwater Central Catholic: Ended up going a combined 5-for-8 with three RBIs and two runs scored in wins over Tarpon Springs and Keswick Christian.
