Pinellas County baseball player of the week – April 4-9

Here are the nominees for the Pinellas County baseball player of the week. Voting lasts until 9 a.m. Saturday. 

1B/P Tyler Allen, Sr., Countryside: Tossed a three-hit shutout with three strikeouts and went 3-for-4 with two RBIs at the plate in a win over Largo.  

C/3B/P J.C. Barrott, Sr., Shorecrest: Went a combined 8-for-11 with two doubles, three runs scored and two RBIs in three games. 

C/P/1B Ryland Bozenhard, Jr., Hollins: Threw 6 ⅔ scoreless innings, allowing three hits while striking out 11 in a win over Osceola. 

P Hunter Deitz, Jr., Calvary Christian: Hurled six scoreless innings, allowing one hit while striking out eight in a win over Dunedin. 

CF/P Connor Dugan, Sr., Boca Ciega: Ended up going a combined 5-for-7 with a double, a homer, four RBIs and three runs scored in wins over St. Petersburg Catholic and Northeast. 

OF Victor Gayson, Sr., Tarpon Springs: Went a combined 7-for-9 with two doubles and four runs scored in three games. 

P/INF Nathan Norwood, Sr., East Lake: Had a combined four hits, including a grand slam, and finished with five RBIs in wins over Countryside and St. Petersburg. 

SS/P Gavon Summers, Sr., Seminole: Threw a perfect inning in a win over Northeast and had two hits and drove in the only run of the game to beat Lakewood.
