The lowdown: Last month, Anderson recorded a four-hit shutout with six strikeouts in a win over Fivay. Fans took notice. Anderson had 55 percent of the votes (265) in the Hernando County softball player of the week poll to beat out Hernando’s Ava Braswell, who had 28 percent (128 votes).
