The lowdown: Last month, Gallagher ended up perfect at the plate, going 3-for-3 with two RBIs and two runs scored in a win over Bishop McLaughlin. Fans were impressed. Gallagher had 43 percent of the votes (634) in the Pasco County baseball player of the week poll to beat out Fivay’s Anthony Vanvliet, who had 36 percent (528 votes).

After losing two straight last week, the Bulls have bounced back in a big way, winning their past two by a combined 26-5. Monday’s 14-4 victory over East Lake was one of the biggest of the season. The Eagles entered the game with a 16-2 record and their two losses were by a combined four runs. Trailing 4-3, Wiregrass Ranch broke the game open by scoring nine runs in the bottom of the fourth inning.

Powered the Mustangs by going 3-for-4 with a double, a homer, four runs scored and two RBIs in a win over Clearwater Central Catholic.
